A Fulfilling Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day cannot be ignored simply for those who celebrate it. It was a "Big day" for us ladies, means a lot of preparation from head to toe. Look at this beautiful vintage outfit I wore on that day. Due to my sudden inspiration, I decided to pull out my favorite shirts and mix match them together. And I'm glad that vintage existed in this world, it just fit me well. ♥

Later that night, we headed to one of the jazz bars in KL, chilling with wines and live jazz songs. The place is always full-house, quite popular indeed. I'm a huge fan of jazz and It was such a great time I had over there. Unexpectedly, I had spotted one of my favorite singers at there. How exciting! And 'She' was the one who sang for us on that night, honestly 'her' voice had amazed me, I love it.

Exchange gifts ...

Love the gold rose, it look gorgeous. Beautiful as it could took my breath away. There was a funny story behind it. Month ago, he asked me do I want roses or not, and I refused. Cause it's kind of waste (it will withered anyway) and it is unnecessary to receive flowers all the time, just a few time is enough. Then, I joke to him. I only want 'bunga mas' (golden flower, learnt from my history textbook. LOL)
I never expect he'll found a real gold rose for me and it comes with certificate too. I did appreciated it since I'm a person who love to collect unique stuff. Thank you! ♥

Well, my way to celebrated Valentine's day was simply lovely. I'm truly thankful for everything. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. Moreover, I wish everyone does love and to be loved without discrimination.

Last but not least, just wanted to share what songs I am currently listening, but they are nothing to do with love theme, just my taste of music.

Desserts for Valentine

February is the month of L'amour. Hearts are floating everywhere. Some people will be wondering what is best for Valentine's gift to impress their half. Speaking of which, what can be better than acquired some skills so you can surprise your partner? Months ago, I've found a recipe app -'Sweet Baking' from Iphone AppStore. For your information, 'Sweet Baking' contains more than 80 delicious and irresistible mouth watering recipes for cakes and desserts. It supports 3 Languages, which are Korean, Japanese and English. From the supported languages, you can kind of guess the nationality of the creator (hehe, Yep, Korean). Seriously, I really appreciated for the creator's kind heart to share so many recipes. Most importantly, it's FREE.

For I-phone / I-pad users, if you are the type of person who like to bake, you should download it and I bet you would like it .

With this app, you can gift your DIY desserts to anyone who you want to spread your love with. It was very organized and user friendly, with categories labeled to ease one's usage. It even had suggestion for what kind of dessert suits for what special occasion. Moreover, it came with some essential functions such as timer and ingredient checklist, cool right =)

After I had discussed with my bf, I decided to try on 'Blueberry Daisy Pie' and 'Chocolate Souffle'. Here, I wanted to show you how I utilized this app.

And I went to groceries store to get the ingredients.

For those bake lovers who aren't Iphone-users. Do not worry. Belows are the screen shots of the Blueberry Daisy Pie recipe for you. Follow the steps, I found the creator's tutorial photos are much prettier than mine, so I do not put my procedural photos while I am doing the Pie.

The result of my Pie. How is it? Heee... the daisies were replaced by love-lings

(the filling consisted of Kiwifruits, Blueberries and Grapes)

So, what to do with the leftover pie dough? I made them into heart-shaped cookies =)

(just place them on the tray and bake for 15 to 20 mins, 190 degree Celsius)

P.S. It's better you get the ramekins...reasons, 1st, ceramic bowl will help the Souffle remain hot and puffy (serve immediately, it will remain puffy in hot condition). 2nd, the outer side of the bowl will not as burning hot as compared to the aluminum cups.

Honestly, I was secretly overjoyed when I found this app. Now I know how to bake pie and souffle besides cheese cake. I can use it for fren's bday / gathering / haha

Behind the scenes

Today was fun! I had a lovely photo shoot session at a field near the hindu temple. Interestingly, today's theme surrounded with scent of vintage. I felt like I am going back through time. Things remains as it is, yet I, I am the only intruder of time. Novel, the background found me like a newborn baby met a stranger, scared and curious. Every thing seems so unfit but they blend in, novel and vintage, like the Forbidden city in Beijing.

I am totally obsessed with vintage style. I am in love with this dress, I felt like I'm in one of the episodes of the 70's show when i wore them. It gave me the feeling of timelessness. That's never a bad thing for not to be limited by time…

Eat Pray Love in Bali

Hello all, I was having my 4 days 3 nights Bali holiday during 22th to 25th of Jan 2012. Here are my itinerary with some random shots we took during the trip. It was a fun-filled days for me.

Day 1,
01. Check-in to Bounty Hotel after touch down Bali Island.

02. Welcome drink for us and that guy behind is a bell-boy with great service.

03. Nice room, decorated with traditional Balinese style.

04. Dinner at Kori Restaurant which ranked #6 of 150 restaurants in Kuta. Lovely atmosphere!

Day 3,

17. Went to Turtle Island

20. Left, smiling while holding the turtle. Right, holding a real snake, yet under my innocent smile, I'm actually very scare at the moment.

21. Time for water sport - Flying Fish. A pretty exciting activity where 2 person were riding on the "fish" (rubber boat), then, the speed boat in front will pull the "fish" (the rubber boat that you are riding on) and you will 'fly'. I was literally felt like a flying fish. I can't barely open my eyes when it is flying. The wind is just too strong. And I wanted to play Parasailing there, unfortunately, it was off due to the strong wind, the local staff said it was too dangerous and they cannot afford the risk. Well, I guess I'll be saving it for the next visit. :/

22. Then we snorkeling, we were enjoying inside the water.

23. Poor me, cannot stand the waving sea, I'm done after snorkeling for about 10 minutes
Then, take a rest on boat but my sea sickness did not diminish. :(

24. After some water sports games, I saw some "kakak" offering Braiding hair service and I asked for the service as well, but only for a small portion of my hair. HAHA

25. We went to Uluwatu Temple ( Pura Uluwatu ) after we took our lunch at Jimbaran Beach Restaurant.

26. Uluwatu is one of the beautiful Hindu Temples and it is famous in Bali Island. We can't enter the temple because it's only for those who are worshiping and we were just able to walk around outside the boundaries of the temple. This photo was took outside the gate.

27. Great sightseeing from Uluwatu. Perched high on steep cliff overlooking the ocean. By the way, the temple is famous for harboring a troup of misbehaving monkeys. Visitors were warned not to wear any of their personal belongings and keep the bags inside their vehicle because the monkeys had trained by some immoral locals to snatch traveler's belongings. Those "kind-heart" locals will "help" you to get your stuff back from the monkey and ask for money in exchange. Tsk tsk tsk, how dare they did such bad things around the temple? I believe they will get their karma one day.

28. Dining at TJ's Mexican Restaurant, I like the nice and cozy ambience of the restaurant. Most of the customers were caucasian.

29. After dinner, I did manicure. The price is just cheap.

my 2012 Chinese New Year

Hey, another week has passed and I hope everyone had enjoyed the celebration of Chinese New Year (holidays for those who do not celebrated). Other than those “typical” questions relatives would ask, one common question people usually ask during CNY is “how much did you win?” Yes, gambling is a common practice amongst Chinese during CNY. Honestly, I do not know how to gamble, cards and mahjong seems like a foreign culture to me. You might think it is weird that I do not know how to play, but it is my family brought up. I’m not allowed to play since young. Daddy said it is meaningless to win family’s (relatives) money and gamble does harm to people. However, it is fun watching relative laughing and shouting during the process. I think it is another way of bonding among the relatives. Nevertheless, self-control is my advice to those who gamble. Otherwise it might ruin your celebration mood and even relationship with relatives and friends. Besides, I had been traveling to Bali in the past few days. Unfortunately, there is something happened to my relatives. I felt sorry that I couldn't attend my uncle’s funeral. (R.I.P)

In the remembrance of both of my deceased grandpas, this year, both side of my family did not celebrate CNY. And I hope both of them doing well in another world. (':

As I’d promised, I'll reveal where I bought my instant camera.

Well, I went to Bangkok for 6 days trip last December. During my trip, I did shop like a shopaholic and enjoy my vacation with all the activities a traveler will do. It was on the 4th day, when I got my eyes on these colorful babies while I was walking through a shopping mall.

Look at them! How adorable! I can't take my eyes off them.

They are sparkling at the display cabinet behind the glass window. Sadly, I was not allowed to step into the shop because I’m half way through consuming my ice cream. Can you imagine what a young little girl will do when she notice an adorable doll? (Additionally with lollipop in their hand or ICE CREAM) Yep, I’m pretty much in that situation. I stared at them with my shinny/bling bling eyes, quickly finish up my ice cream before I went into the store and ask about its price.
Surprisingly, it was not that expensive from what I had expected.The calculation of the price will depends on how many colors you want on it, the more color combined, the more expensive it will be. FYI, my model is just around same price with the white/brown model which is available for sale in Malaysia. Actually, I’m not a big fan of the gadget. The reason that I had bought it is because of its uniqueness and of course the colors that had attracted me.Trust me, if you're huge fans of it. It's really worthy to own one of these.

(LOCATION) you can go around Siam Center and seek for the shop during your trip to Bangkok. I'm sorry that I cannot give proper directions due to my weak memory for addresses and unfamiliarity of that place, but from what I’d recall, I’m sure it's around Siam Center. Good Luck for hunting it! By the way, they do have a lot of nice shops (cloths) around there too.

owh, and I had bought a Hello Kitty Multi-Lens from there too.

Good for me, I can use it for self-shooting/cam whore, haha

Viddy is a great looking video sharing app ♥
After you capture a video, you can apply stunning effects to your video clips and share them in social networks. Awesome right? just like Instagram. heee...

And here is my 1st Viddy video which i play w my eyebrows , ( wait for second and the clip will appear )

That is all for now. I'm feeling kind of tired today. The air-conditioning at my work place is getting colder each day. Seriously! I felt like I am going to faint in frozen condition . I hope they can adjust the temperature accordingly. I need to sleep now and wake up at 6.30 a.m. tomorrow. It will be another long day of internship.

A midnight post

It seems like yesterday when I first enter college. In a blink of eyes, I can't believe I'm now doing my final semester in diploma.

This semester requires me to complete 3 subjects, it sounds relaxing; however, it does not seems as relaxing as it is. First subject is kind of like my final year project and it will be showed at our college gallery during graduation exhibition. It can be done individually or worked on pair, and I choose to work on my own. Second subject is we will be organizing a graduation campaign, unlike previous ones where the campaign had done at cross-majors level, this time, it will be divided according to our major. In other words, my campaign only limits to multimedia design's students, other majors will have their own ones. We had formed several teams to handle different aspects of the campaign such as design, programming, copywriting, etc. As for my team, we are doing publicist (related to sponsors), finance (budget), and organizing graduation exhibition. First task for my team mates and me are finding sponsor for the campaign. I hope we can get some really nice sponsors, wish us luck! :D

Last subject is about industry practice, you may wonder why industry practice (not internship?) like i wondered before. My lecturer explained internship requires longer term and commitment (like 3 months, 5 days a week), we only requires to work for 8 weeks, 2 days per week. It serves the purpose of introducing us to the real work environment and getting a glimpse from it. As a result, I got into a multimedia designing company. The company mainly deal with government projects. Interestingly, I got my very first attempt as a designer trainee. I am now working on one of the government's websites layout. Not bad for the starting I guess.

On top of that, i received a Swarovski Crystal Pen, an internship gift from my bf.
I swear I'll take my best care of it, it looks very fragile and I cannot bare to drop it even once.
I had used it to wrote my first weekly internship report =)
Noticed the rubber band that wrapped around the small hello kitty? hehe, it is used to prevent it from making disturbing sounds while i am writing.

My 21st birthday blast ♥

My 21st birthday was passed in a lovely way.

On the 31st of Dec, 2011. My boyfriend had a mini surprise birthday party for me at Lanson Place Hotel, thank you for your efforts to make me happy. ♥ I had my great awesome night.

I'm not going to blog much about it, but here's little update on the happenings during the day.

Bye ya 2011. Welcome to 2012.
Time flies like an arrow, how fast another year has gone by?
A new year, a time for goals and resolutions, a fresh start for many of us.
Recalling my own past, I am grateful for the changes that I had made, changes which were within my capability to resolve.

What had past passed, all the mistakes I had learned during 2011 will be the reminder for my improvement in 2012.
I will be looking forward, moving on, and seeking for a better self.
Therefore, focus of 2012: think BIG and act accordingly!

I've thought for a while about starting a blog ~~again~~, based on some advices from my friends and I finally got around to it. I've designed the blog layout. What you think about the layout?
However, there is a bug when viewing my blog through the smart phone.
Never mind, leave it as it is now. I'll fix it someday.
